Overview

40’ High Cube Container - Cargo Worthy: Description

Shipping goods overseas for international delivery requires one or more of our 40-foot High Cube Cargo Worthy Containers. These used cargo containers show minimal signs of rust, dings, or scratches and are inspected and certified to make sure they are structurally sound and watertight. High cube shipping containers are 9 feet 6 inches tall making them a full 12 inches taller compared to our standard 8 foot 6 inches tall shipping containers.

The added height of these 40-foot cargo worthy containers gives you more capacity for a total of 2,700 cubic feet of storage and workspace. The extra height also makes our high cube containers the perfect vessel for adding insulation, drywall, framing, HVAC, and lighting to modify your shipping container into a customized construction office, guard shack, backyard guesthouse, or portable classroom.

Contact Container Technology and get a quote for buying or leasing a 40-foot high cube cargo worthy container along with help building your next shipping container conversion. Container Tech - Cargo Worthy Containers

A cargo worthy or seaworthy container is typically used for shipping purposes. A cargo worthy container is also wind & watertight (WWT). It will be free from holes and will not leak. However, once a container is retired from shipping service, the container needs to be re-certified by a maritime surveyor if it’s to be shipped again. To ship a container, it must conform to CSC (International Convention for Safe Containers) standards. It basically means that a container is suitable to be loaded/stacked on a container vessel for shipping. A maritime surveyor will ensure the container meets these standards. You should receive a certificate for the container that can be presented to the port authority. A cargo worthy container is generally 10+ years old. It will be in similar condition to a container that is WWT (dents, dings, surface rust, etc.).
