Overview

45' High Cube Container - Cargo Worthy: Description

Container Technology's 45 Foot High Cargo Worthy Containers are containers that have been in use for about 5 years. They are still deemed cargo worthy and can be a great choice if you wish to use these containers to ship in the future or will move them frequently. They have gone through an inspection and received a damage-free certification that makes it possible to still use them as shipping cargo containers in addition to other purposes.

There are a variety of benefits in addition to being cargo worthy that come from this choice. These containers often offer higher quality storage or special project unit thanks to their shorter working life. While they do have some wear and tear on them from prior usages, such as rust, they can be modified to fit your needs best. One of the biggest benefits besides the cargo worthy designation is that these units offer the most cubic footage at 3,040 cubic feet.

Container Tech - Cargo Worthy Containers

A cargo worthy or seaworthy container is typically used for shipping purposes. A cargo worthy container is also wind & watertight (WWT). It will be free from holes and will not leak. However, once a container is retired from shipping service, the container needs to be re-certified by a maritime surveyor if it’s to be shipped again. To ship a container, it must conform to CSC (International Convention for Safe Containers) standards. It basically means that a container is suitable to be loaded/stacked on a container vessel for shipping. A maritime surveyor will ensure the container meets these standards. You should receive a certificate for the container that can be presented to the port authority. A cargo worthy container is generally 10+ years old. It will be in similar condition to a container that is WWT (dents, dings, surface rust, etc.).
